Ave, from Seville to Madrid
Ave is a fast train, like Shinkansen in Japan, connecting south of Spain to Madrid. I used this Renfe train from Seville to Madrid. Only about 2 hours!
Madrid the city
Many tourists say no much to sightsee in Madrid. But I found a lot of things to do in the city. A lot of museums, theaters, a lot of good restaurants...

Madrid in summer is full of events. In many places, there are concerts, dance performances, musicals, festivals, and Pride Parade! During my traveling time, I was able to watch Kylie Minogue concert on 2 July, and Gay Pride events. I also watched Broadway Musical "West Side Story", also Spanish flamenco & opera "Carmen".

Dining Experience at the world oldest Restaurant
Restaurant Botin, located near Plaza..., is the oldest restaurant in the world recorded by Guinness Book of Records. It is famous also by Ernest Hemingway's famous "The Sun Also Rises". The novel quoted "We lunched up-strairs at Botin's. It is one of the best restaurants in the world. We had roast young suckling pig and drank rioja alta..." is displayed on the front glass of the restaurant. I took the exact same course with Hemingway, costed 45 euros, including the roasted pig, the wine, and the desert.Guggenheim Musseum
It is not overstated that due to this museum, the city is blooming... at least in the number of tourist coming to this town. The museum is located near the river. Large objects surround the museum are unique and fabulous. The big spider, we can find the copy in Tokyo Roppongi Hills.
Puente Colgante or Puente de Vizkaia
In the outskirt of the city, this old, unique, world heritage registered bridge is located. It is the world first transported bridge (according to LP).
Bar and Pintxos
San Sebastian, a Basque country, is famous for its food. 3 Michelin stars restaurant are there. And, bar hopping in the old city is its trade mark... I love their yummy pintxos...
Pamplona
My longest stay city in this traveling is Pamplona. I stayed 4 days, from 6-9 July 2009, enjoyed the San Fermin Festival which started at 6 and end at 14 July 2009.One word to describe this festival, is "Crazy".
But I love so much the vibe, that I stayed longer in this city other than other cities during my traveling.

Segovia
Segovia is a small city located about 1 hour drive north of Madrid. It is famous for the magnificent Roman Aquaduct and its Alcazar (castle) being the model for Disney's Snow White story. Jose took me here, directly after picked me up from Madrid Atocha Station.

La Granja
La Granja is a small city not far from Segovia, where the summer palace, called "Little Versailles" is located. Though it is called "Little", the area itself is not that little. It is a very large area of beautiful gardens and fountains. It will take one day to explore everything. I wonder how magnificent the big Versailles is.
Toledo
Toledo, one of the most visited city in Spain, for it is well located not far south of Madrid and its beautiful old cities with the past shadows of Islam, Jews, and Christianity. The old city is surrounded by a river. Jose took me to this city on 10 July 2009 by car, about 2 hours from Madrid. It can be reached also by fast train AVE in less than 30 minutes.
